
Flavia Pocari represents clients in a wide range of matrimonial, paternity, and other family law related matters, including child support, allocation of parental responsibilities (formerly “custody”), parenting time (formerly “visitation”), complex property division, maintenance, domestic violence, pre and post nuptial agreements, as well as other post-decree related matters, including enforcement and modifications of judgements.
Ms. Pocari obtained her law degree and Certificate in Family Law from DePaul University, College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Pocari focused her studies and legal experience primarily in family law, which included, working for the Honorable Judge Raul Vega of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Relation’s Divisions, and representing low income individual as a 711 Licensed Senior law student for the Chicago Legal Clinic and the Domestic Violence Courthouse. Notably, Ms. Pocari was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her representation of clients in the Family Law Clinic.
Outside of law school, Ms. Pocari obtained the Divorce Mediation Skills Training Certificate from Northwestern University, which provided her with the skills and techniques necessary to amicably resolve sensitive family law matters.
Ms. Pocari keeps the best interest of her clients at the forefront of her practice. She works diligently to advance her clients’ short-term and long-term goals, while attempting to manage potential risks associated with the legal process. Ms. Pocari understands that family law proceedings present a wide variety of challenges for individuals and their families, and she strives to provide clients with legal stability, so that they may enjoy financial, mental, and emotional stability long after their legal proceedings are over.
